thats what the side of my left hip/butt cheek looks like...freakin a dude. i swear people dont know how to aim and they just keep kickin' my ass...literally...dude..how's a girl supposed to sit?
yup i got knocked around a bit on saturday sparring....its all good though. all part of the learning process. i've learned that in sparring i tend to be the more passive one...taking the first hits and stuff. but give me the oppurtunity and i'll rock the shit out of you. lets hope that in august (and hopefully it happens in august) that im the aggressor and i stay the aggressor and kick some chicks ass..cuz believe me i've taken some pretty good hits and nothing has been able to knock me down yet. everyone's pretty surprised. so am i. yes im crazy.

well there's just a little bit over than a month left til my vacation. i really cant wait. it'll be my first vacation as an official working adult. i get more excited as each day passes...there's nothing left for me to think about right now hahaha

spring time!

yay i love the weather we're having...too bad the lab feels like the arctic circle and all i can do is take a peek outside the window in order to enjoy the weather.

as of late i've been up to...well...nothing much...lent is over and i gotta say that the last week was an utter failure in trying to slow my roll in the swearing department...i counted my money and it was the grand total of $153...damn thats a lot...i've decided to use that money strictly for buying my gifts for my cousins for my trip to PI.

so lets see...good friday i hung out with my coworker michelle aka MO...we had dinner and decided to catch a flick at edwards. we saw HORTON HEARS A WHO. it was pretty cute..i didnt think they would be able to turn a small ass book into an hour and half movie...but it was cute. saturday was my coworker's babyshower down in chula vista. picked up cherlyn, neil, karen and karen's little boy and headed to dino and choua's place. basically ate and chilled with the coworkers some more...as if we dont get to do that everyday at work right? well the 5 of us headed out a lil early cuz cherlyn and i wanted to rest up before WPG night. that night the girls met up at thuy's house for some pizza and pre partying then we headed downtown...crazy shinanigans as usual...it was a great night.

came home by 4am and woke up around 8 to get ready for 1030 mass with the family. then we went to a family/friends party for a christianing. basically ate then chilled...decided to go to yogurt world with some friends cuz the we werent satisified enough and it was hot. came home and slept...

now its monday. i sparred today...my lower lip is a lil bruised right now and i hope when i wake up it doesnt get any worse. sadly i heard the weather will be cooling down and less sunny as the week goes by...damn...

i knew this would happen

so after muay thai class tonight i decided i would bug some of the guys at the boxing club and ask when fight night was. then they gave me an answer....MAY 10..UNFORTUNATELY..if some you read my bulletin on myspace...i can't do it BECAUSE im leaving for the PI MAY 9th....just my luck dude....well i hope when i come back i get back into trainning and get ready for the next one...MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! what a bummer

springing forward

i love that it gets dark later. that means i can workout outside much later than before.

well its sunday and that means the weekend is over already. boo. this weekend was pretty much uneventful but still great.
friday i came home from work and skipped out of going downtown for shai's birthday. my headhurt and i was freakin' tired from working all kinds of wierd hours this week. instead i went for a run and did the laundry.
saturday i had my usual saturday morning trainning. then headed over to the delacruz's family's house for brian's engagement party. man it was wierd being there. reliving childhood memories and stuff. then the brother and i headed down to chula vista to kick it with kuya and the family. had dinner at phil's bbq to celebrate shai's birthday some more. murdered my half rack of babyback ribs...it was awesome.
today my brother and i went to mass today cuz my parentals are still sick...my dad sounds like he's gonna cough up a lung. mom's cough still hasnt gone away yet. after that we just came home and lounged on my bed the rest of the day. man i love 3 hour naps

hmm...well i guess thats all the happenings in my life right now. things to look forward to: alicia key's tickets go on general public sale this saturday :)
PLUS im getting a haircut this saturday too...going for new look, new change. damn it karla it better turn out great.

2 more months and i'll be in the motherland YAY!

moving

my department has now movied into our new building in la jolla. i can never go home for lunch again. that makes me super sad. the new place has its ups and downs like for example, eataries are a lot farther than before and we can no longer eat in the labs...at all...but hey what work place is perfect. well anyway, the last couple days have been like 10 hour work days. packing stuff, unpacking stuff. make sure stuff works right, getting stuff put in the proper place. finding out stuff got broken and reporting it. and tonight im just waiting for anthony (the boss man) to give me a call around 8pm so i can head back over to work and help set up the flow cytometers (machines attached to computers that read cells tagged with our antibodies) for everyone to hopefully use by tomorrow. god knows what time im actually going to work tomorrow if im going back to work tonight. i was already there from 730 this morning til 530 tonight. aint no thing though. thats what salary...well the boss man just called...gotta go..peace
