family fun

this weekend was spent just chillin' with the family. dinner with the 'rents friday night at phuong trans. bbq at silver strand beach followed by more bbq and the de la hoya/mayweather fight at my cousin's house down in otay ranch. sunday was all about 1030 mass, lunch, and some galavanting at mcrd.

i had the funniest conversation with my godson this weekend. the topic kinda sucked (on my behalf), but having this conversation with a 7 year old was kinda interesting and basically hilarious. so i left the beach a little early and took my brother home because he apparently had homework and shit to do. i took my godson with me so that i could go back down and chill at my cousin's house after they packed up from the beach and headed down to otay. we get to back to my house. chill for a bit. then he says, "ninang im hungry." you would think that he wouldnt be hungry considering we barbequed the whole day, but he was playing the whole time and didnt eat much. we discuss what he was in the mood for. i love that he eats anything and everything. he decides that he's in the mood for some L&L. we get there, i order som chicken katsu for the two of us. then out of nowhere, he goes, "ninang do you have a boyfriend yet?" im a little startled. i say, "no." then he follows up the question by asking, "do you like someone?" and at this point im am crackin' up cuz seriously, he is 7 years old and a boy! who has this converstation with a 7 year old boy? haha i just thought that was funny. i think this kid is gonna grow up to become a heartbreaker.

man, mother's day is next sunday already. plans are all set to take my mom and my lola (and the rest of the family) to the sunday brunch at the crown room at hotel del coronado. YAY!
