rain and no work...wha?!

i love it. today i didnt go to work today. thats i had to drive my pops to the hospital cuz he had an appointment and wouldnt be able to drive home. no worries everything is all good. i spent most of the afternoon at balboa hospital waiting for my dad to be done. i occupied myself with a book...yea thats right i was reading a book. it was a gift from ellene. pretty good. hey im still reading it so that has to mean its pretty good right? when we got home, i spent the rest of day napping in my warm bed...YAY!

dang i just realized that tomorrow is the last day of january, which means its the end of the first month of 2007. so far the year has been very good to me. just in the first month i've been blessed with a new baby cousin and new eyes. i saw JT open his tour in san diego. mom's run in with anaphyllactic shock turned out to be all good...THANK GOD ESPECIALLY FOR THAT. work has been good to me. and my last class is CAKE. i hope the rest of 2007 turns out to be that good. i guess mid 20's ain't so bad...wow mid 20's....yikes

lets see lets see....oh yea ellene's birthday celebration at ole friday night was great. nice to see all you people again. too bad i couldnt make it to aubergine's for mark's birthday...i was just too tired on saturday. believe me, if i had the strength i woulda gone but damn i knocked out early. sunday after church i headed over to the biomed library at school to get homework done with my friends from class. tasha freakin' googled the questions and we found the answers online...hahaha yay for that. that professor is nuts. then after i came home, picked my bro, went to cingular and bought the BLACKJACK for each of us. i likey! i guess buying a DS for myself will have to wait. but i still have to buy a DS for my godson cuz i promised to get him one. man im a great godmother huh? haha

i havent been up to much. i did have lunch with cel on tuesday at niban...yummmm niban. work has been good though, cant complain about that. on the other hand, my last class is a joke. i still dont know what the hell is going on and so does the rest of my friends in that class. so far i havent done anything for that class and i hope it stays that way. oh well gotta go. sorry so short. i'll write something better next time...laters

first thank you to everyone for the birthday greetings, whether it was through text, phone calls, myspace messages, facebook messages, and emails. no words can express how much they all meant to me. i hope that someday i'll be able to repay everyone's kindness. and thanks to those who were able to make out to my house. i know a lot of you couldnt come cuz it was soooo last minute. next time na lang. hopefully the next velarde event will be graduation! keep the end of may open everyone!

so being 24 is BORING! i got nothing to look forward to, age-wise. i've decided i think im gonna stick to being 21. so as of JANUARY 12, 2007, I WILL 21 FOR THE 4 YEAR IN A ROW.

next subject: chargers...FUCK....enough said. i just hope they keep everyone and that they dont choke next year. maybe next time they wont drop anymore balls or have personal fouls..FUCK.

WTF HAPPENED TO MY FLYING CAR?

seriously! its 2007 and wtf happened to the flying cars we were promised? besides that, so far my year has started off pretty well:

• my chargers are going to the playoffs with the best record in the NFL AND we have home field advantage
• work was all good today
• my health insurance has now kicked in!! woot-woot!

just with those three alone, im in pretty good shape, at least in my mind.

well the events of new years eve/day were...umm...not very exciting. i just hung out at my grandma's house downsouth with my family new years eve. new years day was spent at home doing laundry then kickin' it in bed. i figure nothing's wrong with taking it easy the first day of the new year right?!

as for new years resolutions, i have made the normal: lose lots of weight by working out more and trying to eat a lil healthier (but still eat the good stuff once in a while). technically this is not a resolution. i made this promise to myself after my last final this past quarter. i figured if i started then that i would have some kind of a head start. TOO FREAKIN' BAD christmas got in the way. oh well. but still, i will fight on to shed these unwanted pounds.

so looking back on 2006, overall i'd say it was one pretty good year compared to some of the passed years. i think i've grown as a person and i've learned a lot more about myself. i've learned that under pressure i can come through. im also less afraid to do more thinks and assert myself a lil more, as in take myself just a lil bit more seriously. thats always a good thing right?
